1. When did you know you wanted to be a photographer?
My father was a photographer. Growing up, I saw him capture precious moments of all his clients, which made him and his clients both very happy and satisfied. I wanted to chase the same feeling. Bringing happiness into peoples lives, making their ecstatic moments last a lifetime through my photographs, gives me more satisfaction day after day.
2. What inspires you?
Producing a real image that portrays the true nature of my topic inspires me more than anything else. Photos are timeless; they provide a window into a person’s appearance, personality, and existence. I’m ecstatic when I can give someone a fantastic image of themselves.
Especially when I know how it compares to the quality of a point- and-shoot or a mobile phone (no matter how excellent they are getting). I enjoy the idea of someone picking up the photo and smiling because what they see is a reflection of someone they know and love.
3. What is your proudest moment?
One of my proudest moments was when I was awarded photographer of the year.
4. Who are your favourite three photographers and why?
Raghu Rai because I love the way all his images are traditional and unique and each image says a thousand words.
Mandy Disher because I am inspired by the way she sells her prints and how to earn by doing that and how she turns each and every image into a masterpiece.
Steve McCurry because he works just like Raghu rai and from Steve, I learnt how to compose images.
5. If there is one person/place/animal (alive or not) you would love to take pictures who/where/what would it be?
I would choose a lion or a tiger in a rare and unique action or movement.
6. What awards have you won?
I have won the following awards:
Landscapes Photographer of the Year 2015 – The Societies of Photographers | International Photography Organisation
Nature Photographer of the Year 2018 – The Societies of Photographers | International Photography Organisation
Nature Photographer of the Year 2019 – The Societies of Photographers | International Photography Organisation
